Middle School · Grades 6–8

Build the foundation

The middle-school years lock in numeracy, literacy, scientific reasoning, world history, and the first real coding — block-to-Python — so every student is ready for a college-prep high school track.

High School · Grades 9–12

College & career prep

A full college-prep sequence — Algebra through Calculus, Biology through AP Environmental Science, English I–IV, World/U.S. History and Government/Economics — alongside a computer science pathway that runs through AP CS Principles, AP CS A, and a senior full-stack capstone.

Why Crunch Academy

A real curriculum, not a playlist

Standards-aligned

Every unit cites the actual standard it teaches — Common Core, NGSS, C3, CSTA, and AP — so families and schools can trust the coverage.

Coding in every grade

Computer science is core, not an elective — from first algorithms in Grade 6 to AP CS A and a shipped capstone by Grade 12.

Free & open

No paywall. Pair it with Code Crunch hackathons, mentorship, and advanced developer tracks when you're ready to build for real.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is Crunch Academy really free?

Yes. Every grade, subject, unit, and lesson is free and open. Crunch Academy is the K-12 program of Code Crunch Worldwide, a nonprofit-spirited tech and education community.

Which standards is the curriculum aligned to?

Mathematics and English Language Arts follow the Common Core State Standards, science follows the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), social studies follows the C3 Framework, and computer science follows the CSTA K-12 standards plus College Board AP (AP CS Principles, AP CS A, and other AP courses in high school).

Who is this for?

Homeschooling families, students who want to learn ahead or catch up, micro-schools, and teachers looking for a complete, standards-mapped scope and sequence for grades 6 through 12.

Does every grade include coding?

Yes. Computer science and coding is a core subject in every grade — from block-and-Python foundations in middle school to AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A, and a full-stack senior capstone in high school.

How is the high school track structured?

Grades 9–12 follow a college-prep sequence: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Precalculus/AP Calculus in math; Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and AP Environmental Science in science; English I–IV; World History, U.S. History, and Government/Economics in social studies; and a CS pathway culminating in AP CS A and a capstone.
